Community Grants

Information about community grants from Utkinton and Cotebrook Parish Council

In June 2022, Utkinton and Cotebrook Parish Council celebrated the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II with a string of local events, including afternoon teas, garden parties and social events. Sadly, not long afterwards, the community was mourning the loss of our Queen after 70 years on the throne.

In June 2023, a grand celebration to mark the Coronation of King Charles III was held at Tirley Garth, which was warmly welcomed by the community.

Since then, the Parish Council has worked closely with four other local organisations (Utkinton Village Hall, Cotebrook Village Hall, St John’s Church, Cotebrook and Utkinton WI) to organise the Big Community Raffle in 2024 and the Big Community Festival in 2025. The proceeds from both these events were split equally between the five groups, bringing over £10,000 into the parish.

The Parish Council has earmarked the funds raised as a Community Grants fund, aimed at providing small grants to support local initiatives. To apply for a grant or to find out more about the scheme, you can email the Clerk on utkintonandcotebrookclerk@gmail.com or ring 07709512348.
